Growing up in a small coastal town in the heart of the Garden route, but been fortunate to have traveled from the age of 6 months. I feel like I have wide eyes, ears and heart!
I studied Interior Design at Design Time school of Interior Design in Cape Town. Had my first job at LIM with Pauline Mutlow, who still with one of my most influential design people in my life. I then set off to London to work in the industry there. However I was looking for a different challenge, which bought me to Sydney Australia, where I discovered the great world of Magazines.
I started assisting some of the greats, Kirsten Bookallil, Sibella Court, Matt Page & Donna Hay. Worked on Gourmet Traveller, Elle Deco, Real Living, and then onto bigger furniture jobs like Sheridan linen, Domayne furniture & Sportscraft
I needed Africa though – there is nothing like home. I returned after 6 years abroad, and landed in Cape Town back in the mother city. From here I have been working as a prop stylist ever since. I have had many clients that have allowed me to work with them in Cape Town and London, such as White Stuff and Marks & Spencers.
Therefore I continue to be able see the world and keep current with not just trends, but peoples lives and circumstances that shape everything in our global community today.
